Sandwiched between two walls
there’s not much room
at the bottom of a crack.
Just enough to stretch the legs
and to get some light on scaly skin.
Crumbs crash in like meteors
Food at regular intervals.
Lucky to be trapped in a crack
in a kitchen floor under the
chopping board.
